“Bueno BobTM” is an amateur chef who learned from Lucille (Mom). A pinch of this and that, lots of love, and as they say in Texas, “It may not look good, but it eats good.” My goal is to provide healthy, nutritious meals that require no more than 30 minutes of preparation and serving time. Not always from scratch, but this makes it easier to cook at home and avoid the expense and challenges of eating out. I shop organic, when possible, take the best (Bueno) shortcuts, and keep it yummy but speedy. Cooking times may vary, but the result is less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying conversation at the dinner table or watching TV and dining.
My wife and I host lots of friends over the Super Bowl, summer parties, and just ‘let’s eat, drink, and enjoy it while it’s here,’ meals. I cater to my sister-in-law, who had a stroke, a picky wife born without the sense of smell, seniors, teens, and gourmet friends in one sitting. You can do it too. I’m developing my recipes and meal plans in my Cuttin’ Corners Cookin’ cookbook due out in January. In addition, I provide tips on kitchen gadgets, including automatic peelers, Bluetooth kitchen devices, self-stirring pots, favorite pans, and unique utensils. I am creating a comprehensive checklist on how to set up an amateur chef’s kitchen from scratch, which anyone can follow, whether shopping on Amazon or at a farmers’ market. Stay tuned.
